The sliding slope
A sure sign of the gradual defection from the Word of God and a living faith in God is the vagueness and often deliberate mumbling about all issues relating to the Pride movement and the HBTQ and Transgender issues that have rapidly become a new version of the 'Shibboleth', known from the cruelty of one of the tribes of Israel against one other. If you are NOT speaking out in favor of the current genderdefection craze you stand to lose jobs if a teacher and will be ostracised by virtually every society. Trusted church members will draw their skirts together and walk out of the room away from you. To have the audacity to say one word against this modern version of total confusion and moral disintegration is an invitation to humiliation and castigation, censorship and loss of social standing in whatever society you take your stand.
The matter is swept under the carpet by all but the most steeled and strong voices of the time. In churches across the palette of Christendom fewer and fewer stand up for what God actually says in the Word.
"Oh, in our Church we have room for everybody".
"Oh, but you see the love of God is greater than people's sexual orientation." "Our only task is to love people unconditionally!"
"If we shut our doors to the homosexuals we deny them human rights."
"What was said in the past must be seen in the social context of those days. We know better now."
And so on, the various reasons given by those who have forsaken the WHOLE word of God are too many to mention. And for that reason the policy of 'anything goes' as long as it is tolerant of whatever lifestyle individuals desire, becomes the overt or covert activity of the church, and therefore also leaders of churches are seen, more and more at the forefront, in the Pride Parades and rampages through the major and minor cities of our nations.
Christianity is bowing down to Baal and Moloch. But you would not know that unless you listened to the whole Bible. That is the real issue behind it all. And that could not have happened unless it had done just what the Word of God warned us not to do: forsake not the Lord, the God of your Fathers. Defection from God is never done unless there is first a defection from the belief that God has spoken ultimate truth in straight up propositional statements. So the core of every defection is a countermanding of what God has said.
The oddity is that while many maintain that the words "God is love" are to be taken at full strength, seen as the apex of revelation and maintained against every other thought, nothing else in the same Bible is. Nothing! Where that sort of totally arbitrary selection originates is somewhat of a mystery. (Until you know the strategies of Satan, that is.) To say in the same sentence that God loves sinners as they are, all based on the word of God, and in the same breath deny that the love of God leads man to repentance from all sin, must surely be the mental burnout out of all time. Because that is what the Love of God is for: to lead sinners to repent. Without that turning away from whatever sin man loves there can be no partaking of either the divine nature or the Kingdom of God. The same Bible says so. You cannot have the Love without the righteousness to which an understanding of the meaning of that love leads.
Is Pride at all something allowed to the believer?
Consider first what every form of pride is about. And tell me if on the strength of these words pride in any form or shape can be a sign of the true children of God.
"Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before stumbling."
"I will also break down your pride of power; I will also make your sky like iron and your earth like bronze."
"Then He opens the ears of men,
And seals their instruction,
17 That He may turn man aside from his conduct,
And keep man from pride;
18 He keeps back his soul from the pit,
And his life from passing over into Sheol."
"Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth
And makes us wiser than the birds of the heavens?’
12 “There they cry out, but He does not answer
Because of the pride of evil men.
13 “Surely God will not listen to an empty cry,
Nor will the Almighty regard it."
"In pride the wicked hotly pursue the afflicted; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised."
"Let the lying lips be mute, Which speak arrogantly against the righteous With pride and contempt."
"Let not the foot of pride come upon me, And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away."
"On account of the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips, Let them even be caught in their pride, And on account of curses and lies which they utter."
"When pride comes, then comes dishonor, But with the humble is wisdom."
"Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before stumbling."
"The pride of man will be humbled And the loftiness of men will be abased; And the Lord alone will be exalted in that day,"
"The Lord of hosts has planned it, to defile the pride of all beauty, To despise all the honored of the earth."
"But if you will not listen to it, My soul will sob in secret for such pride; And my eyes will bitterly weep And flow down with tears, Because the flock of the Lord has been taken captive."
"For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man.”
"But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God."
"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world."

Is pride compatible with faith in Christ?
What room is there for any kind of pride in connection with any believer? Should not the merest hint of pride, haughtyness and the like be considered as dangerous as the first trail of smoke from a wildfire?
Does not the very definition of "Love" knock the stuffing out of the straw doll of modern day morals? How could any person claim to have love who seeks his own "Rights"?
Even when they quote the High Psalm of Love from 1 Corinthians 13 they deny the very definition that love has:
"Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
One look at one single minute of footage of a Pride Parade and "love" is sullied and trampled under foot by people whose behaviour stands censored on every point. And there are those in leadership who think nothing bad of it. Instead they make God an accomplice in their shame, by calling it 'Love'.
What God thinks of it in true terms is no secret for them who hold that GOD has given His view on everything that pertains to a life in His World on His conditions. And the fact that he has also told us what will happen if we ignore Him should bring us to our wits: the world as we know it will be rolled up as an old garment and be burned at the final conflagration when the world as we know it will be destroyed by fire. And our pride in shameful immorality is only one reason of many for that judgment. (If you wonder about moves to ban the bible you have plenty food for thought and insight.)
The Rainbow People
At the head of Pride runs the rainbow flag. What utter mockery! The rainbow was first visible on earth after the first universal judgment, the flood at the time of Noah. The promise of God is that the Earth will never again be drowned, but it will be destroyed by fire! The people who espouse and glorify Pride carry a testimony to the first judgment in their hands, without a smatter of recognition of the enormity of their deception, while bringing on the whole world the second greater Judgment yet to come.

And the churches are silent.
In order to adjust itself to the results of a gradual deterioration of the human race in a constantly growing movement away from the purpose and plan of God, the Christian Church has positioned itself so far away from the expressed teachings of the holy Scriptures that to maintain them is to be put under severe criticism from the World at large. I will list the steps away from the revealed will of God that have made this possible:
Basically God is no longer the sole source of truth and understanding of either the world in which man lives nor the measure of man. The phrase "made in the image of God" has been perverted into "God made into the image of fallen humanity".
ONE
In order to justify Pride we must deny that God the Creator made a perfect job of creating mankind, as male and female. And that this unit depends on the Creator for all its functions and even for its right to exist.
TWO
In order to justify Pride we must deny the fall of man and the biblical view of man's fallen nature, we must elevate the resulting aberration to the level of normality and say that the fall was in fact God's means of liberating man from slavery under divinity.
THREE
God is not today the same as He was in the beginning. God has evolved from a restricting, stifling controller of mankind into the liberating God of all goodness ad all freedom for man to do what an wants to do when and where he wants it, and this with absolute impunity. The prayer known as 'the Lord's prayer no longer reads: "Thy will be done", but "Our will be done".
FOUR
Then there must by necessity be a denial of all of the lessons of human history. Because history shows the results of mankind's previous civilisations all having disappeared for the very same reasons that the Pride movement of today hail as liberty. The fact that history is all but lost out of sight cuddles a whole generation in the false idea that we can repeat the moral disasters of the past without further consequences. Scripture testifies to Sodom and Gomorrah precisely because it happened and if not avoided will have the same results again.

Whereas man was defined by his relationship to God, and that it was that understanding that was the foundation of two thousand years of civilisation, is now ignored and man is now defined by his or her sexual orientation. Whereas sex was a gift of God to humanity and a constant factor in showing the relationship between God and his people in a marriage image and union, it has become the defining factor of what is human without God. Sex is the new God, that is the worship of Baal. Sex produces unwanted babies, they are sacrificed to the god of Fire: Moloch.
You are not made in the image of God, you are a nothing but a sexually produced organism with the right to define yourself which ever way you want. You are not any more a human being, but merely the sum total of your physical being. No different from the rest of the animal world.
TEN
No church affiliating itself with PRIDE has Christ as the head of the body. Christ is again dethroned, and the cross of Christ is trodden under foot. He did not come to save men from their sins, but to condone them. The only sin left to stand against is the very intolerance of sin.
We have come along very well along the inevitable path of utter ruin, and society takes notes of us only when we do what it desires us to do. We have become the wagging tail, and are far far from being any head.
There is no gradient along which this or that sin is better or worse. Homosexuality is as bad as but not worse than any other sexual sin. The real sin is man's opposition to God and the resultant putting himself in the "driving seat". He has made himself God and it is only himself that he worships.
There can be no more fellowship between PRIDE and the Church of Christ than between darkness and light, between God and an idol.

Is the church then not open to all men? Oh yes! It is open to all men who will repent, who will bow in reverence before the Creator and life-giver, have their sins dealt with and being filled with the Holy Spirit of God will walk as they have received Christ. The Church is the sinner's only hope in the sense that in her God has placed the means of that grace which in ages past turned societies from a life in squalid debauchery to a life in honesty, truthfulness, true charity and self-control. Faith and dignity go together. Lose faith and you lose dignity too.
If Pride is what you desire to follow, you have nothing good to expect from God when the bell tolls for the final hour.

It is well said that we have become "the fast food generation". Anything that demands our attention longer than five minutes is a burden. Fragments and slivers of reality is what occupies so many minds. God however creates the opposite: 'To see if they will walk in my ways". We look for the "ultimate once and for all fix". God looks for the daily commitment. "As you have received, so walk."

Your Rod and Staff comfort me still. The marvelous and remarkable tools of the good shepard.
Dear Friends. I can understand it if you feel deserted as I have not been posting anything here for a while. I will rectify that in a little while.
I had about three weeks of a health problem which depleted me of all energy, that is one reason for my silence.
The other reason is that I have been embroiled in a discussion about the teachings of Hillsong Church and in order to understand what they preach I have listened to a dozen sermons or addresses from about 7 different preachers.
That has been going on on the Swedish equivalent of this forum. I wont take up time with that here. I believe more in stating and declaring what is right than try to find fault with others. "I many parts we all fail." That is sobering. Better hang a plumbline and the leaning towers prove their own leaning.
